Gang Sweep in Selma, 45 Adults, One Juvenile Arrested

FRESNO, Calif. Operation Goldstar-Selma Shield, headed by the Fresno County Sheriff's Office served search warrants in South Fresno County.

Guns, counterfeit money, and drugs were seized from the operation. Officials say all the suspects arrested are from Selma and have ties to street gangs. The Selma police chief says it's about time these criminals were off the streets.

Selma Police Chief, Myron Dyck said, "Some of these people have been -- we've dealt with them for many years in the community. In different criminal activity. And this just goes to show the type of people they are. And this is the place they need to be in Jail."

A total of 45 adults and one juvenile were arrested as part of the operation.
