Investigators have now released the cause of the fire that destroyed a North Valley treasure. In May, Mariposa's Pizza Factory building burned to the ground.

Firefighters with the Mariposa Public Utility District say the fire was caused by electrical problems in the buildings attic.

Pizza Factory's owner tells Action News he expects construction to start in a little more than a week and expects to reopen next May. People in the community are excited to head back to the much-loved restaurant.

A number of other businesses in the building were destroyed including Pony Espresso and the non-profit, the Mariposa Arts Council. Staff members there say they also plan to reopen.

In the video, Action News reporter Mariana Jacob has complete coverage on the story.
