FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Investigators are trying to track down the organizers of a cockfighting ring in Fresno County. It's the fourth to be held in the last two months.

Fresno County sheriff's deputies heard the fight was taking place on Sunday in an almond orchard near Jameson and Floral avenues, northwest of Caruthers. The sheriff's helicopter saw the crowd from above. Investigators say there were some 50 cars there, all of which took off.

When the dust settled, officers found two dozen dead roosters and a weight scale. No arrests were made.
