Loved ones and law enforcement authorities in Fresno County are desperately searching for a Selma woman who's been missing for two weeks.

SELMA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Loved ones and law enforcement authorities in Fresno County are searching for a Selma woman who's been missing for two weeks.

22-year-old Jolissa Fuentes was last seen in the early morning hours of August 7.

She went to the AMPM on Highland and Nebraska Avenues in Selma for snacks, but never returned home.

Jolissa' family says it is not like her to go anywhere and not let anyone know.

When they could not reach her on the phone the day she went missing, they called police.

"This is not Jolissa," says her aunt, Joann Banda. "She always reaches out to the family. She even let her brother know she was heading to the store at that time. She called her brother and told him she was going to the store. It's not like her, she always lets everybody know where she's at."

After the family expressed concerns that not enough is being done to find her, Selma police held a news conference on Monday to share an update on their efforts.

They say they are treating the case as a criminal matter.

Authorities could find no trace of any cellphone activity by Jolissa on any digital platforms for weeks.

"It's very rare that a 22-year-old girl has no digital footprint.. i.e. cell phones, social media, bank cards, things of that nature," said Chief Rudy Alcaraz.

Police say her phone was last traced to the Avocado Lake area, which has been searched by both police and family. After that, it was switched off.

Loved ones have been looking for Jolissa around the clock. On Sunday, they organized their own search party in the area of Pine Flat and Avocado lakes, but there was no sign of her or her 2011 silver Hyundai.

Selma police are being helped in their search by Fresno County deputies and Fresno police.

Now, Jolissa's family is also set to get some help from the independent search and recovery dive team, Adventures with Purpose.

It's the same group that found the car and apparent remains of Kiely Rodni in a Northern California reservoir on Sunday.

The 16-year-old disappeared from a campground near Lake Tahoe August 6th.

Anyone who has seen Jolissa or her car is urged to call Selma police.
