COSTA MESA, Calif. -- The wait is finally over. Paradise Dynasty is taking SoCal by storm with bold new flavors at its first U.S. location in Orange County.

Known for its rainbow soup dumplings, the craze to taste xiao long bao is definitely worth the wait.

"We actually didn't wait too long. We waited for around 30, 40 minutes," said Nathan Lamont, a visitor from Norway. "Which isn't too bad considering this place is very popular."

"I come here when I want the really tasty xiao long bao," said Brandon O'Neal, who was visiting from Taiwan. "If you want the rich, creamy juiciness? You come here."

Conceptualized and founded by Eldwin Chua, the Singaporean franchise group has successfully opened more than 100 restaurants across 11 countries.

"We believe in serving traditional Chinese food. You talk about thousand years of history," said Chua, Paradise Group CEO. "As time passes, food has gotten more and more refined. There's no boundary - it's all about creativity."

"This is sort of the mixing pot of food, culture and history," said Craig Hung, a diner visiting from Irvine.

Aside from a few changes to the American menu, patrons not only line up for their Instagram famed signature dumplings - but other must-haves such as stir-fried shredded pork, spicy Szechuan crispy chicken, and Dan Dan noodles.

"If you haven't had it before, come try it. If you've had something similar, come try it," said Kristie Hang, a food and travel host/journalist. "It might taste different. It might taste better than you expected."

Located at South Coast Plaza within Bloomingdale's in Costa Mesa, Dynasty Paradise opens every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

"We will continue to grow our company - continue to grow our restaurants," said Chua. "And we hope one day we can reach a level where we are internationally recognized."
