

KERN COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A mother and her two daughters were killed early Sunday morning in a head-on collision on Highway 99 in Kern County while traveling back home from a concert in Fresno.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 12:45 a.m. on Highway 99 north of 7th Standard Road near Bakersfield.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash. One of those vehicles was traveling north in the southbound lanes of the highway when it crashed into the two other vehicles.
A Honda Accord that the three women were driving in became engulfed in flames and all three died at the scene.
A GoFundMe verified by loved ones of the victims identified the women as Vanessa and her two daughters Kloie and Kylie.
According to the GoFundMe, the victims were in Fresno for a concert to celebrate Kloie's upcoming 17th birthday on August 20 and were driving back home at the time of the crash.
A 44-year-old man driving a BMW 530I and his one passenger were taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
Two people driving in a Chevy Colorado had only minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
