

REEDLEY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Sometimes bravery comes in the smallest voices.
For this courageous hero, an 8-year-old girl from Reedley stepped up to help her mom during an emergency.
On May 25, Reedley Police Dispatch Center received a 911 call from what appeared to be a young girl whose mother was experiencing a medical emergency.
The little girl helped the dispatcher by staying calm and answering question, allowing first responders to arrive as fast as possible.
When she was later asked how she knew exactly what to do, she simply said "I just did it."
The Reedley Police department honors her bravery, even presenting her with a special gift basket.
The little girl's quick thinking made all the difference.
Officials say her brave acts reminds them that courage comes from the heart.
