ABC30 celebrated at Fresno City Hall for 70th anniversary

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Action News received a special honor Thursday morning.

A proclamation was presented at Fresno City Hall to celebrate ABC30's 70th anniversary of broadcasting.

Graciela Moreno was there to accept the honor, along with Warren Armstrong and Dale Yurong.

Action News General Manager Martin Ortiz spoke about the special meaning behind the recognition.

"Our station has been number one in ratings for five decades," he said. "None of us take that for granted. We know that's a choice our viewers make every day to choose us. I want to thank all of them for continuing to make Action News number one in Fresno and Central California."

In honor of our 70th anniversary, Action News put together a 30-minute special featuring some of the biggest stories over the decades, some classic commercials and familiar faces.

ABC30 is marking a major milestone this month, celebrating 70 years of serving Central California with a special look back at the stories, people and moments that defined the station.
