Adventist Health Hanford gets donation to help support heart health

HANFORD, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Kings County hospital system has received a financial boost to help support heart health.

Valley Strong Credit Union donated $1 million to Adventist Health Hanford.

The large check will go toward the expansion of the hospital's cardiac cath lab.

That's where medical procedures related to the heart and blood vessels are done using catheters or tubes.

The hospital is working toward a $40 million investment to increase one cath lab to five and add state-of-the-art equipment.

The cath lab expansion project is expected to be completed at the end of 2027.
