American Idol virtual auditions coming to California

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The nationwide search for the next American Idol is underway, and California hopefuls will soon get their chance to shine.

On September 9, aspiring singers can audition virtually from home and receive real-time feedback from producers. The online format allows contestants to showcase their talent face-to-face without traveling.

Producer Kyle Khou says the virtual experience makes the process more personal and accessible for performers across the state.
