Authorities searching for arson suspect in southeast Fresno motel parking lot

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The search is on for an arsonist who set a car on fire on the morning of July 4.

The surveillance video shows someone lighting the vehicle on fire through the back window.

It happened in the parking lot of the Days Inn motel off Highway 99 and Jensen Avenue.

The flames ignited around 7 am.

The suspect left the scene in a red Nissan Armada.

Investigators are asking for help to identify the person or locate the getaway car.
