Man hit by vehicle in Visalia, police say

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is in critical condition after Visalia police say he ran into the road and was hit by a vehicle.

Around 11:30 pm Friday, officers observed a pedestrian running north on Mooney Boulevard near Sunnyside Avenue.

The man was hit by a vehicle and taken to the hospital.

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with officers.

The investigation remains ongoing.
