Brandon Belt has knee surgery, likely to be ready for spring training

ST. LOUIS -- Giants first baseman Brandon Belt had surgery Friday in San Francisco to clean up his torn meniscus and cartilage damage in his right knee.

Manager Bruce Bochy said Belt is expected to be ready for spring training.

Belt hit .253 with 14 homers and 46 RBIs this season.
