LOS ANGELES (KFSN) -- Former Bulldog and NFL quarterback Derek Carr arrived at UCLA's Fall Camp just one day after being hired by the Bruins.
The Bruin Report shared the video below of Carr's arrival along with general manager Darrick Yray. Yray began his coaching career at Fresno State, working with Carr while he was a Bulldog.
Carr was hired to be a special adviser for Bruins head coach Bob Chesney, assisting the offensive staff with game-planning strategy and also working with the quarterbacks.

Carr announced his retirement from the NFL last May.
Senior defensive lineman Merhauti Xepera was added to the 2026 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy watch list on Tuesday.
Xepera is one of 113 student-athletes up for the award that honors players who lead through community service, while excelling in the classroom and on the field.
Last year, Xepera led a group of Bulldogs out to the Boys & Girls Club of Pinedale to give kids a chance to meet their favorite Bulldogs.
Xepera enters his fifth season with the Bulldogs and was part of a vaunted defense that ranked 10th in the FBS.
