FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- CAL FIRE says the North Fire in Fresno County is fully contained after spreading to 67 acres Tuesday afternoon.
The fire began around 2 p.m. near North and Temperance avenues.
The wind posed a challenge for fire crews as they tried to contain the fire.
Two homes were threatened by the fire but were secured. One of those homes was evacuated by Fresno County deputies.
One barn was destroyed.
Officials say the cause of the fire was a prescribed agricultural burn that got out of control.
