Officials say there is one active case of the infection with someone at the school. They did not specify if it was a student or a staff member.

Although there is an active infection, officials clarified there are no contagious cases on campus.

Twenty-two of the 169 exposed have tested positive for the infection but are not actively showing symptoms.

Health officials are working closely with the school on contact tracing and testing.

Staff and students are being urged to stay home if they are feeling sick.

Some of the tuberculosis symptoms include coughing up blood, a cough for over three weeks, fatigue and unintentional weight loss.

Tuberculosis typically affects the lungs and appears in two forms: active and inactive, also known as latent TB.
