Cam'ron trolls Clippers' Ty Lue on LeBron to Sixers, Kawhi Leonard
Rapper Cam'ron claims all he was trying to do was help.
On Monday, the rapper and "It Is What It Is" podcast co-host posted a clip on social media in which he seems to jokingly confrontLA Clippers head coach Ty Lue on a handful of issues surrounding the franchise while Lue was waiting on a food order.
Cam'ron began the clip pressing Lue, saying everything "was straight" when Doc Rivers was head coach, while Lue simultaneously requested no straw with his beverage.
Rivers, who coached the Clippers for seven seasons (2013-20), had a 356-208 record as the franchise's head coach and a 27-32 playoff record and was fired in 2020. Lue, the franchise's current head coach, holds a 276-206 record in seven seasons spent in Inglewood.
As Lue appeared to be ignoring the Harlem-raised rapper, Cam'ron shifted his attention to how the Clippers should've pursued LeBron James during free agency before he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers.
"[You] should've tried to get LeBron when LeBron was available; that's what really had you," Cam'ron told Lue.
Cam'ron tried to take Lue on a trip down memory lane on his success with James.
"See, when you was with LeBron, boom, magic. That's what happened with you and LeBron," Cam'ron said.
James and Lue crossed paths on the Cleveland Cavaliers, where they reached three consecutive NBA Finals, becoming champions in 2016 when they came back from a 3-1 deficit against the Golden State Warriors.
As Lue grabbed his food and headed to exit the restaurant, Cam'ron continued to troll Lue, this time asking about the Clippers scandal with Kawhi Leonard.
"They gave him the money under the table? That's what happened? Yo, Lue!" Cam'ron said as Lue exited.
Among the 7,557 comments on the clip -- and counting -- James left 12 laughing emojis in reaction to Cam'ron's theatrics.
