7-year-old dies after possible drowning at Southeast Fresno apartment complex, officials say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A 7-year-old child has died after police and fire crews responded Thursday afternoon to a possible drowning at an apartment complex in Southeast Fresno, officials say.

Authorities were called to the Summer Park Apartments at Butler and Winery shortly after 4 p.m. When officers arrived, police said they found a child who had been pulled from the complex swimming pool and they began CPR.

The child was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where they died.
