FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Local churches teamed up Wednesday with Fresno's Marjaree Mason Center to take action against domestic violence.
More than 80 pastors and ministry leaders took part in a domestic violence training event.
The non-profit's education team provided tips for spotting signs of abuse and how to respond effectively if a member of a church congregation seeks help.
Marjaree Mason officials say the training sessions are a critical chance to strengthen skills, support survivors and increase community-wide awareness.
If you are the victim of domestic abuse, or you know someone who is, there is help available 24/7. In Fresno County, call the Marjaree Mason Center at (559) 233-4357. In all other locations, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at (800) 799-7233.
