City of Fresno holding free paper shredding event

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- If you live in the city of Fresno, now's the time to gather up any old medical records, bills and tax documents you want to destroy.

The city is hosting a Free paper shredding event Saturday, May 2, from 8 am to 11 am at the Public Utilities Operations and Maintenance Building on G near Stanislaus Street.

You can bring up to three banker-size boxes of sensitive or confidential documents to be shredded on-site.

In order to take advantage of the event, you must provide a state-issued ID, along with a city utility bill showing solid waste service or a proof of eligibility form.
