Health officials have not said if it is connected to other nationwide outbreaks, but said the infection was not caught locally.

This comes just one day after Fresno County health officials confirmed the county's first case of cyclosporiasis this year.

National health officials have tied outbreaks to shredded iceberg lettuce supplied from Mexico and served at Taco Bell locations in the Midwest.

Health experts are encouraging people to take preventive measures when handling fruits and vegetables.
