FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Stephanie and Brett Cardoza offer everything from sweet to savory at Branch Breakfast at Marks and Herndon in northwest Fresno.
"The neighborhood needed a down-home, home-cooked place, so our vision was we want you to feel like you're at grandma's house," Brett said.
Not many grandmas make mammoth-sized French toast on brioche.
The Branch Burger is uniquely crafted inside of an English muffin.
"We did a breakfast burger," Brett said. "This is prime-grade beef blended with chorizo. It's our hand-selected chorizo. Arugula, tomatoes, ranchero sauce, grilled jalapeno with a sunny side egg."
"This Benny Bowl has become the most popular thing on the menu," Stephanie said. "It's chorizo with potatoes, bacon and there is two poached eggs on there. Our housemade Hollandaise, housemade ranchero aioli, sour cream and a grilled jalapeno on it. And cheddar cheese."
"We took an original traditional breakfast, added our own subtle twists and we wanted to elevate everything just to bring it up a notch," Brett said.
"Those are the banana bread pancakes," Stephanie said. "Housemade toffee, housemade cinnamon whipped cream, caramel drizzle. I made those for our fall menu. They were so popular that people begged me to keep them on the regular menu."
The breakfast poppers offer a nice wake-up call.
"They're like a play on jalapeno poppers," Stephanie said. "They have eggs, breakfast sausage, cream cheese and they're wrapped in bacon."
The All-American burger is Brett's go-to.
"It's very important the meat-to-bun ratio," he said. "It's just a great burger if you're craving a burger."
Stephanie, Brett and the crew are always focused on getting your day off to a great start.
"We think of food as that olive branch between people," Stephanie said.
"If you love breakfast, this is the place to be," Brett said.
