Driver goes down 100-foot embankment in northwest Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calf. (KFSN) -- An investigation is underway after police say a driver went down a 100-foot embankment and slammed into a light pole in northwest Fresno.

Action News captured the large response near Milburn and Alluvial before 8:30 pm Sunday.

Police say a man in his 70s was driving his Jeep when he lost control, went down the embankment and flipped.

Police believe slick roads and speed may have caused the crash.

The driver was taken to the hospital.
