Fire crews contain riverbed fire near Laton, CAL FIRE says

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fire crews battled a 15-acre fire near Laton in Fresno County on Saturday, officials say.

CAL FIRE says it responded to the fire in the area of Riverdale Avenue and De Woody Road in a dry riverbed.

Crews faced limited access and windy conditions while trying to put out the flames.

It took four hours to gain control of the fire and contain it.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
