Fresno police drone video used to locate suspects connected to Dick's Sporting Goods thefts

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two people have been arrested in connection with thefts at two Dick's Sporting Goods stores in Fresno, police say.

Police drone video captured a gray Honda Pilot leaving the Northwest Fresno store near Shaw and Valentine avenues last Wednesday.

Employees reported seeing a man conceal merchandise in his clothing, while a woman accompanied him.

The drone tracked the vehicle until officers on the ground caught up and conducted a traffic stop near Brawley and Weber avenues.

The suspects were identified as a 39-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman.

Investigators later linked the pair to another theft at a Dick's Sporting Goods store in Northeast Fresno earlier the same day.

Both suspects face charges of grand theft.
