
FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday morning in northwest Fresno.
Officers responded to the area of Cleo and Roberts Avenue around 10 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a man in his 50's suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim.
Officers say one person has been detained in connection to the shooting. He's described as a man in his late 40's, who was still in the home when officers arrived at the scene.
Detectives believe the homicide is an isolated incident that involves an interpersonal situation between the suspect and victim, but there's no word yet on the relationship between the two men.
Details surrounding what led to the shooting remain unclear. Detectives are continuing to collect evidence and speak with potential witnesses.
