Investigation underway after woman found dead in car outside of old Tulare County Sheriff's Office

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A homicide investigation is underway after a woman was found unresponsive in her car in Visalia.

Visalia Police say they were sent to the old Tulare County Sheriff's Office headquarters around 8:01 p.m. for a medical emergency under suspicious circumstances.

When police arrived, they found a woman in her car not responding.

CPR was performed, but she was declared dead at the scene by medical personnel.

A man near the scene was detained by police.
