Drier conditions are adding fuel to the fire, and the steep terrain in many parts is creating a difficult situation.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- New evacuation orders were issued late Sunday night for the KNP Complex Fire burning inside the Sequoia National Forest.
The Tulare County Sheriff's Office has ordered residents to leave their homes on Mineral King Drive up to the Sequoia National Park boundary, including all homes along both sides of Highway 198.
Evacuation warnings are still in place from Old Three Rivers Road and Blossom Drive to South Fork Drive.
Monday afternoon, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office placed evacuation warnings for Hume Lake and the Sequoia National Forest area west of Hume Lake and north of Sequoia Lake.
The fire started more than three weeks ago and continues to spread.

Flames have scorched more than 62,000 acres in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks and within the forest.
Contaiment remains at 11%.
Fire officials held a virtual community meeting Saturday night, hours after adding an evacuation warning to part of southeast Fresno County. That warning includes Sequoia Lake, Cedarbrook, Etheda Springs and Pinehurst.
Over the weekend, officials said the thick smoke above and near the fire posed challenges for firefighters.
