Merced County celebrates Kibby Road Bridge replacement

MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Merced County is celebrating the completion of the Kibby Road Bridge replacement.

The Kibby Road Bridge crosses Bear Creek and connects Highway 140 and north Merced, serving more than 1,400 vehicles per day.

Originally constructed in 1972, the former bridge experienced weather-related wear and deterioration over time.

This ultimately required full replacement to ensure safety and reliability for motorists.
