Man arrested after police chase for alleged murder of father in Dos Palos

DOS PALOS, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police have arrested a 43-year-old man for the murder of his father in Dos Palos.

Officers say Porfirio Romero led police on a high-speed chase that spanned across three counties.

He was first identified as a person of interest after his 88-year-old father was found dead in a home on December 16.

On December 18, investigators found Romero's car on Highway 152, which prompted the high-speed chase.

The pursuit eventually came to an end on Highway 99 near Clinton Avenue in Fresno.

Romero was booked into the Merced County jail on homicide charges.
