Man sentenced for distributing illegal drugs at Southwest Fresno park and by mail

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno man has been sentenced to nearly 16 years in prison after being convicted of distributing fentanyl and meth in Southeast Fresno and through the mail.

22-year-old Isaac Ocejo was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty in January to drug conspiracy charges. Prosecutors said Ocejo was involved in shipping large quantities of illegal drugs to other states and selling locally.

Court documents show Ocejo mailed multiple packages containing illegal drugs from Fresno post offices between July 20 and 23 and October 20 and 24. Authorities said the shipments totaled more than 10 kilograms of meth and over one kilogram of fentanyl.

In addition to mailing drugs, prosecutors said Ocejo sold meth in Fresno, including helping sell 10 pounds at Trolley Creek Park.

A second co-defendant in the case was also sentenced on drug charges and received nearly four years in prison.
