Mariposa County District Attorney Michael McAfee resigns

MARIPOSA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Action News has learned that Mariposa County District Attorney Michael McAfee has resigned.

The Mariposa County Board of Supervisors Clerk says Michael McAfee submitted his letter of resignation on Monday.

At this time, it is unknown why McAfee resigned.

However, the board had an emergency meeting yesterday.

The clerk says they cannot comment on the closed session, as it was a personnel matter.

On Tuesday, the board appointed current Mariposa County Counsel Walter Wall as interim District Attorney.
