Mariposa County Sheriff's deputies searching for wanted suspect

MARIPOSA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Mariposa County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a suspect in the area of Colorado Road and Highway 140.

Authorities are urging residents to be on the lookout for Michael Cosmo May.

He is currently wanted for assault with a deadly weapon and is possibly carrying a hatchet or chainsaw.

If you spot him, you are urged not to approach him and call 911 immediately.
