
FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The search for a driver is underway after a deadly crash in east central Fresno.
The California Highway Patrol was called out to Highway 168 near McKinley Avenue just before midnight Thursday.
Investigators say a Hyundai Elantra was heading west on the highway when the driver hit the back of a motorcyclist.
The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the roadway.
The driver pulled over and took off.
Another driver hit the rider in the roadway and then pulled over.
The motorcycle rider died at the scene.
A portion of the highway was closed for several hours but has since re-opened.
Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the CHP.
