
MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Multiple people are in the hospital after a violent crash in Merced County.
The California Highway Patrol says two cars collided on westbound Highway 152 near the Romero Visitor Center before 10 a.m. Friday.
Officers say an 18-year-old man in a BMW lost control and crashed into a Chevy Tahoe.
Three people in the Tahoe were not wearing seat belts and were thrown out the car.
Four people in that vehicle were rushed to a hospital with moderate to major injuries.
Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
