New sandwich shop opens in northeast Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A new sandwich shop is now open in northeast Fresno.

Strada Italian Sandwiches held its grand opening on Tuesday, inviting people to try out their menu full of subs on freshly baked bread.

Each Italian-inspired sandwich also comes with homemade spreads and sauces, and cured meats sliced to order.

Owner and Chef Jimmy Pardini says he wanted this restaurant to have a more interactive experience.

"You can interact with the sandwich makers, you can interact with the chef, with the bakers, the guys making all the bread," he said. "We put the oven and mixer, everything up front so you can enjoy the process of the bread being made."

Strada Italian Sandwiches is located in the Park Crossing Shopping Center on Friant Road, right next to Annesso Pizzeria.

The sub shop is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 10:30 am to 9 pm.
