Cast of 'O'Dessa' talks new movie at New York premiere

NEW YORK CITY -- In a world where movie musicals often play it safe, "O'Dessa" breaks all the rules.

The movie takes you on a neon-drenched journey that's equal parts post-apocalyptic adventure and a heart-thumping rock concert.

Entertainment reporter Joelle Garguilo spoke to the cast at the New York City premiere.

It's about a young woman, played by Sadie Sink, who is a determined farm girl and sets out on a mission to recover a cherished family heirloom and has to use music to help save her true love.

"I mean, it's just so original, so ambitious. I read the script and saw like, the tagline and the mood board and everything in the songs. Was like, this is why. This is really unique," Sink said.

The movie also stars Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Regina Hall.

You can stream "O'Dessa" when it drops on Hulu on March 20.
