
FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno police officer suffered minor injuries Saturday afternoon when a vehicle struck the officer's patrol vehicle in east Central Fresno, authorities say.
The collision occurred at about 3:37 p.m. as the officer was driving northbound through the intersection of Belmont and Clovis Avenues. Police said a vehicle traveling westbound struck the side of the patrol vehicle.
The patrol vehicle overturned several times before coming to a rest on its wheels, police say.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
The officer was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
