A seaplane made what the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) described as a "hard landing" on New York's East River Sunday.
Officials received a call just after noon Sunday about a plane in the water, the FDNY said.
Eight passengers were removed from the plane by FDNY units and the plane itself is was being towed back to a dock, according to the FDNY.
Two of the passengers sustained minor injuries and were bein evaluated by EMS, the FDNY said.
