Person drives vehicle off cliff while arguing with partner on the phone, officials say

FRESNO COUNTY (KFSN) -- A person was airlifted to the hospital Thursday afternoon after they intentionally drove off a cliff near Table Mountain Casino, the California Highway Patrol says.

The crash happened around 4:15 p.m. near Sky Harbour Drive and Millerton Road northeast of Table Mountain Casino.

According to CHP, the driver was arguing on the phone with their partner when they intentionally drove off a cliff.

The driver was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. Their condition is unknown.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
