Plane makes emergency landing in Fresno County, officials say

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A plane made an emergency landing in Fresno County late Thursday morning.

According to the Fresno County Sheriff's Office, at around 11:30 a.m., the private single-engine plane, carrying the pilot and one passenger, experienced an engine failure, prompting the pilot to land immediately.

The pilot safely landed on Jayne Avenue at south Alpine Avenue just east of Coalinga.

Fresno County deputies and CAL FIRE firefighters responded to the scene.

No one was injured and there was no damage to the plane or surrounding property.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
