Preparations for Shakira concert at Valley Children's Stadium underway, ticket prices slashed

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Shakira's international tour lands in Fresno on Thursday and preparations are already underway at Valley Children's Stadium.

Skyview 30 flew over the football stadium Monday afternoon to check on the setup so far.

Fresno State Athletics officials say Shakira's tour is part of an effort to utilize the stadium to generate revenue for the University and the community.

Plenty of seats are available across all levels of the stadium for the Latin superstar's show and prices appear to have been reduced.

As an added incentive for Shakira's show, the first 250 Fresno State students who buy their season ticket for football will get a free concert ticket.
