TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A South Valley man is awaiting sentencing after being found guilty in a deadly DUI crash in Tulare County.
On Friday, 22-year-old Saul Saldana Armenta was convicted of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. Prosecutors say he was driving the wrong way and collided head-on with a 21-year-old driver, killing that man.
California Highway Patrol says Armenta displayed several signs of being under the influence when they arrived on scene.
The crash happened in April 2024 on Highway 99 near Betty Drive in Goshen.
Armenta faces up to a decade in state prison. Sentencing is scheduled for March.
