Tulare County Sheriff's deputy arrested for domestic violence in Visalia, police say

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A deputy with the Tulare County Sheriff's Office has been arrested for domestic violence, Visalia Police say.

On January 2, Visalia Police officers were notified about a reported domestic violence incident.

Officers went to a home near James Court, south of Caldwell Avenue, and arrested the suspect, 55-year-old Steven Montano.

The Tulare County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Montano has been placed on administrative leave during the investigation.

Despite the crime happening in Tulare County, Montano has been booked into the Kings County Jail.
