Victim identified in Orange Cove shooting on Thanksgiving

ORANGE COVE, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno County Coroner's Office has identified the person shot and killed in Orange Cove on Thanksgiving. She is 43-year-old Carolina Godinez.

The shooting happened just before 2 pm in a neighbourhood on 9th and J streets.

When deputies arrived, they found Godinez with a gunshot wound.

She was declared dead at the scene.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office is not releasing any details about a possible suspect or what led to the shooting.

The suspect remains unknown.
