Visalia house fire displaces family and kills pet, officials say

VISALIA, Calif. -- A house fire in Visalia displaced a family on Saturday evening.

The Visalia Fire Department responded to a home on Parker Court near Bridge Street at 8pm.

The fire was contained, but officials say a dog died in the blaze.

The extent of the damage is unknown at this time, and the cause is under investigation.
