Woman killed in solo crash in Tulare

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman is dead after crashing her truck in Tulare.

The crash happened at about two Wednesday morning on southbound Highway 99 near Prosperity Avenue.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol say the woman was driving a red Mitsubishi pick-up when she veered off the roadway. She then hit the center median and a concrete embankment.

The woman was thrown from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no word if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
