LOS ANGELES (KFSN) -- The United States secured the Curtis Cup with a 12–7 victory over Great Britain and Ireland on Sunday at Bel-Air Country Club.
Asterisk Talley, the youngest player in the field and the only high schooler competing, contributed to the U.S. effort with a win in her match against Davina Xanh, a senior from Cal State Fullerton.
The Chowchilla native, who has committed to play at Stanford in 2028, won her matchup 2 and 1, helping push Team USA to the clinching point total.

“I think just trying to block out the pressure of us trying to win if we win or lose our teammates are always going to be by our side and I think that's just a great feeling going into the matches today and we're not too worries about it we're not feeling as we thought to be and I think we're just trying to go out there and have some fun,” Talley said.
Sunday marked the U.S.'s first win in the biennial women’s amateur team competition in four years.
The Americans have a 32-9-3 lead in the series that dates to 1932.
