FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A joyful community celebration of unity and visibility returned Saturday morning as more than 100 entries marched down Olive Avenue for the Fresno Rainbow Pride Parade.

This year’s theme, “Pride without borders,” highlighted inclusion, freedom and connection regardless of race, gender, sexuality, ability or immigration status.

The annual event, now in its 36th year, brought crowds together in a show of support and celebration.

“I wasn't expecting this many people, like I love coming to the tower but to see this turnout its amazing,” said Katrina Moch, a Fresno resident.

Organizers say the parade is meant to foster a sense of belonging and visibility across the community.

Attendees echoed that sentiment, noting the importance of representation and support.

“I think it's super important especially in a city like Fresno, some families they don't accept who their kid may be, just having resources, know there is community and people that do support them,” said Ashley Gutierrez, a Fresno resident.

Following the parade, festivities continued with a festival at Fresno City College, offering additional opportunities for community members to connect and celebrate.

ABC30 is a proud sponsor of the Fresno Rainbow Pride Parade and Festival.
