A child has died after being struck by a school bus in a hit-and-run crash in New York City, police said.
Video shows the tractor-trailer racing down the street and the driver unable to brake. Luckily the driver was able to weave between the bus and a pick-up truck on the other side of the street.
"I was trying to sleep, y'all," the student who bore the brunt of the deer impact can be heard saying.
The bus driver, a woman, had no opportunity to stop, the Tennessee Highway Patrol said.
While Melissa Gone's injuries seemed so severe that she was airlifted to CRMC, further examinations showed they were only minor non-life-threatening.
She was accused of lunging and punching at the driver who killed her kids during the driver's sentencing.
